Legal framework for cooperation | Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Moldova and the Government of the Kingdom of Sweden regarding the General Framework and Conditions for Cooperation in Development over 2011-2014. The Agreement was signed on May 17 2011 and came into force on that date. |
Strategic documents for programming | The current assistance strategy sets out the direction of Sweden’s development cooperation with Moldova for the period 2011-2014. Sida consults with the Moldovan Government, civil society, the private sector and other donors while developing its strategy. |

Procedures for programming, approval and implementation of projects | The overall objective of Swedish development cooperation with Moldova in the longer term is for Moldova to be well integrated with the EU, including the values of the Union. In keeping with the area of cooperation stated in the country strategy paper, Sida, the Embassy and other relevant partners identify projects to be implemented in Moldova. As Sida is not an implementing agency all funds are channeled and agreed with either multilateral organisations or other types of implementing organisations. |
