2: To improve the Government’s and local authorities’ capacity in diaspora programming and enhancing the capacity of migrant associations and initiative groups (including the ones comprised of persons originating from Transnistria) in the destination countries to become active in support of local development of the homeland - including Transnistria.
3: To enhance the protection of the rights and the social security of the Moldovan migrants working abroad, including the ones originating from Transnistria, developing and implementing innovative return and reintegration programmes, as well as promotion of economic empowerment of returning migrant workers and rural youth and women - including the Transnistria residents.
4: To identify, develop and implement specific activities targeting family members left behind by migrants – including Transnistria residents, as well as other vulnerable groups of population affected by migration, taking into account their vulnerability, in order to minimize the negative effects of migration.

The project on living organ donation in Europe is a coordination action
that aims to 1) establish an inventory of living donation practices in
Europe, 2) explore and promote living donation as a way to increase organ
availability and 3) develop tools that improve the quality and safety of
living organ donations in Europe.This action aims to achieve broad European
coverage with a specific focus on new EU Member States. 11 partners from 10
different countries are involved.It draws upon the support, knowledge and
network of the European platform on Ethical, Legal and Psychosocial Aspects
of Organ Transplantation (ELPAT) and the European Society for Organ
Transplantation (ESOT).To fulfil this objective, this project contains 2
scientific research packages. The first package focuses on living unrelated
donation practices in Europe. The second package focuses on legal
restrictions and safeguards for living donations in Europe.The remaining
three work packages ensure the coordination of this work, dissemination of
the project results and the organisation of meetings.13 deliverables will
result from this project, including an implementation plan to guarantee
European-level dissemination of the accumulated knowledge, information and
recommendations.By doing so, the end-goal is to exchange best practise and

1. The project will contribute to the global effort to better understand
the sources and sinks of greenhouse gases, potential impacts of climate
change, and provide effective measures to achieve the ultimate objective of
the UNFCCC, which is “to stabilize greenhouse gas concentrations in the
atmosphere at a level that would prevent dangerous anthropogenic
interference with the climate system”2. The project will help to identify
project proposals related to climate change, eligible for further funding
by donors community or co-funding by GEF, other multilateral or bilateral
organizations and eligible for funding, inclusive under Clean Development
Mechanism (CDM) of the Kyoto Protocol as well as under any other global
economical mechanisms focused on climate change mitigation, in accordance
with the Convention’s principles and provisions in the post-Kyoto period.3.
In addition, the project will contribute to enhance general awareness and
knowledge on climate change related issues and to strengthen the dialogue,
information exchange and cooperation among all the relevant stakeholders
including governmental, non-governmental, academic and private sectors in
accordance to the Article 6 of the UNFCCC and implementation of New Delhi
Programme.
