Objectives: 

The Project Overall Objective is to develop and promote cross-border tourism opportunities in the Danube sector of the Black Sea Basin (Cahul District, Republic of Moldova; Reni District, Ukraine; Galati County, Romania).

Specific objectives of the project are:

  • To evaluate the situation and improve the programs for development and promotion of business and entrepreneurship in cross-border tourism sector.
  • To strengthen the capacities of local and regional authorities, tourism service providers in development of green cross-border tourism in the Danube sector Galati-Cahul-Reni
Descrierea proiectului: 

The project will contribute to improving the level of capitalization of tourism potential in the target regions, thus contributing to increasing the management capacities of regional authorities in cross-border tourism, strengthening the capacities of tourism providers and operators regarding the quality of tourism services. Policy documents will help improve cross-border cooperation and the transfer of good practice between local communities. Capacity building activities (trainings, workshops, study visits, festivals, film; launching and consolidating the cross-border tourism cluster for tourism service providers and public authorities, etc.) will contribute to strengthening the capacities of target groups. As a result, a favorable environment will be created for small businesses to provide quality services and products.

  • Study regarding the good neighbourhood in the cross-border region, developed
  • a Guide of green cross-border tourism, developed and disseminated
  • a map with three cross-border tourist routes, developed and disseminated
  • an informative brochure developed and disseminated
  • a jointly program for developing the cross-border tourism in the three targeted areas, developed
  • three trainings organized
  • three workshops organized
  • three round tables organized
  • three study visits organized
  • two cross-border Danube festivals for customs promotion organized
  • one cross-border forum 
  • 24 podcasts recorded on topics related to business and entrepreneurship in the tourism etc.
  • one webpage of the project developed
  • information materials developed (leaflets, bags, banners, touristic signs and panels)
