- Create and maintain neighborhood relations with project partners in order to develop cross-border tourist objects
- Increase the attractiveness and promote local tourist attractions

 


Description: 

The project EscapeLand – Development and Promotion of Active Tourism in the Black Sea Basin meets the requirements of the Joint Operational Programme BLACK SEA BASIN 2014-2020, because it is created based on the real situation in the border area. The project aims to strengthen cooperative relations between five of the eligible regions by improving and sustainably using local and regional resources and has a significant impact on future sustainable development in the Black Sea basin. The issues addressed by the project refer to the limited capitalization of the tourist potential that affects the entire Black Sea area. The project will be implemented in the period June 2020 - May 2022 obtaining the results mentioned in the results section. The project will contribute to a better understanding of European values, will organize and carry out joint actions between NGOs, sports and tourism clubs, local tour operators, public authorities and the business environment in Romania, the Republic of Moldova, Georgia and Ukraine, by creating and improving tourism services, strengthening dialogue between these neighboring countries, promoting cross-border cooperation, encouraging good neighborly relations and supporting each other in addressing common issues: developing cross-border tourism.


Actions Components: 

The actions undertaken within the project will be:

1. Elaboration of the tourism development plan

2. Elaboration of calls for acquisitions of the reconstruction works package

3. Equipping with the necessary technical equipment for the project implementation team

4. Elaboration of the tourism entrepreneurship course and training of entrepreneurs with tourism potential

5. Organizing / participating in conferences and events planned within the project

6. Elaboration of promotional and informational materials of the project products

7. Monitoring the reconstruction works of the sports school based on tourism


Activity Summary: 

Within the project, new tourist objectives will be developed in the Galati, Cantemir and Odessa regions through: increased visibility of cultural and tourist objectives; increased flow of tourists; improved cross-border coverage, improved capacities for the public and private sector, new jobs. The results of the project contribute to the consolidation of business and entrepreneurship opportunities in the field of tourism and culture in the counties of Galați and Constanța, Romania, Odessa Region, Ukraine, Cantemir District, Republic of Moldova and Kutaisi, Georgia.

Purpose:

The aim of the project is:

Developing good neighborly relations and mutual support in solving common problems in local and cross-border tourism by initiating and creating the local tourism base in Cantemir district by rebuilding the sports tourism base and training entrepreneurs with tourism potential in the region.


Results: 

The results of the project will be:

- Tourism Development Plan in Cantemir district

- Tourism entrepreneurship course developed and implemented

- 20 potential entrepreneurs in the field of tourism in the field of NGOs, trained business environment

- participation in 12 conferences in partner countries

- Sports school rebuilt into a sports tourist base

- 32 accommodation places, food space, 2 gyms with sports inventory within the created tourist base

- 1000 printable materials for informing and promoting local tourism
