Description:
The building of the School Music ,,Maria Cibotari'' from Cahul City was built in the beginning of the 20th century and in 1954 it started functioning as a music school for pupils of ages 6 to 12 years old who wanted to attend music classes after their normal school. The School Music ,,Maria Cibotari’’ from Cahul City, is old, dilapidated and poorly insulated. The heating system is too old and cannot be regulated. There is no efficient ventilation system. The roof is in a poor state and can become even dangerous for the pupils and teachers. This lack of comfort has negative and scientifically proves consequences on pupils’ concentration and learning as well as the necessary conditions for teaching. This is why the school building has an urgent need of fundamental refurbishment.
Ever since many generations of pupils have learnt classical and traditional music here and later in their career, they have become well-known musicians nationwide but also internationally.

A showcase that, once experienced, can influence their attitudes and lead them to behave in a more responsible and public-spirited way. As well, the endowment of the Musical School with new musical equipment will increase the quality of today's students' education and the number of students will increase due to the increased popularity that music school will earn after renovation and the purchase of new musical instruments.
