Project Title:
Solar Energy Competence Initiative II (SECI)
AMP ID:

Status:  Ongoing
Status Reason:

The project aims to implement the Regulation of RES installers qualification (approved by Government 1051/08.11.2018). The project together with the partner institutions will develop and set up a short-term training program for installers of RES (Renewable Energy Sources) technologies with the focus on continuous VET (CVET).

Objectives:

The Republic of Moldova has basic capacities in offering training for the installers for solar energy conversion area, in line with EU requirements.

Description:

The project together with the partner institutions will develop and set up a short-term training program for installers of RES (Renewable Energy Sources) technologies with the focus on continuous VET (CVET), for the following RES qualifications:

  • installers of solar photovoltaic systems at Centre of Excellence in Energetics and Electronics and Vocational School nr. 4 from Balti
  • installers of solar thermal systems at Centre of Excellence in Construction

To include a training program for a new occupation into VET system, the following will be ensured:

  • Inclusion of the new occupations into the national classifier - Nomenclator
  • Elaboration of the occupational standards for the new occupations
  • Elaboration of the qualification standards (based on the occupational standards)
  • Elaboration of the curricula (study plan and syllabus), based on the qualification standard.

The project will develop the curricula for RES installers according to the approved Methodology for developing programs and curricula for lifelong learning, coordinated with MECR and MEI and submitted for accreditation.  The teaching staff will develop learning materials for both students and teachers as well as assessment tools in accordance with the assessment procedure defined in the developed qualification standards.

The project will support different activities for capacity development of teachers from partner institutions. SECI will support the activities of strengthening the collaboration between the institutions and the RES companies in order to identify the requirements for the RES installers qualification and to involve in different materials development.

SECI will also be engaged in updating the learning environment for SECI partner institutions with specific equipment and tools for RES installers training.
